A crime against humanity: Who blew up the Nord Stream Pipeline?

The BBC reported in August that Germany issued warrants for a Ukrainian diving instructor whom they called “Volodymyr Z” who fled from Germany to Ukraine in July.  Volodymyr Z “was part of a team of experienced Ukrainian divers who in September 2022 hired a German yacht, sailed out into the Baltic Sea and planted the explosives, blowing up three of the four Nord Stream pipelines.”  It was stated, “it still doesn’t answer the broader question of who ordered the attack.”  “No public evidence” has been found linking it to Ukraine or Russia, and only “conspiracy theories” link it to Ukraine and Washington. 

While Harris/Biden stopped the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline on day one of their administration, that would have brought 830,000 barrels of crude oil into the US per day, dramatically reducing gas prices, in May of 2021 Biden also waived the sanctions that had been preventing Russia from completing the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.   

By the end of 2021 tensions had heated up between Russia, the U.S. and Ukraine. On February 9, 2022 Joe Biden is on record threatening, “If Russia invades, um ah, that means tanks or troops crossing the border of Ukraine again, then there will be… there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2.  We will bring an end to it.”  A reporter asked, “But how will you do that…exactly?  Since the project and control of the project is in within Germany’s control.”  Then Biden stated, “We will, I promise you we’ll be able to do it.” 

Fifteen days after Biden’s threat, and 5 days after Harris threatened Russia with an even bigger NATO footprint on their doorstep, February 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. 

On September 26, 2022 the Nord Stream Pipeline was sabotaged blowing up 3 of the 4 pipelines and releasing over 500,000 tons of methane into the ocean and the atmosphere, which is the worst ecological disaster in the history of the world concerning the release of methane gas.  The closest disaster to this was the Aliso Canyon accidental leak in California in 2015-16 which involved a leak of about 97,000 tons of methane, over a space of about four months. So, it was less catastrophic.  

While it has been stated it is a “conspiracy theory” to think that Ukraine and Washington are involved, the Guardian reports that sabotage by the  “Ukrainian team” that fled from Germany to Ukraine, had been “initially approved by Volodymyr Zelenskiy and then called off, but which went ahead anyway.”  The Guardian was quoting the Wall Street Journal, which claims the sabotage occurred because of a drunken evening, private businessmen, and a top Ukrainian general.  Others say the CIA was involved, yet others say the CIA found out and asked Kyiv to “call it off.”   

A spokesperson for Zelenskyy, Mykhailo Podolyak, says, “Such an act can only be carried out with extensive technical and financial resources …and who possessed all this at the time of the bombing?  Only Russia.” 

It would seem odd for Russia to blow up their own pipeline that would bring revenue to Russia to fund the war in Ukraine. 

It is also unlikely that the “Ukrainian team,” even if they returned to Ukraine, would have been ordered by Zelenskyy to perform the attack, as Zelenskyy is hesitant to move without U.S. permission.  Zelenskyy even recently submitted peace plans with Russia to the US for approval. 

Viktor Orban, Hungary’s prime minister, called the sabotage “an act of terrorism carried out at the obvious direction of the Americans.”   

TASS News, the Russian News Agency, recently reported on September 12 a top Polish diplomat stated, “the Americans had advance knowledge of it and didn’t stop it.”   

When the incident occurred, former foreign minister and presently EU lawmaker, Radoslaw Sikorski, posted a tweet stating, “Thank You, USA.” Russia picked up the tweet with Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stating on Telegram, “Sikorski tweeted his thanks to the United States for today’s incident on Russian gas pipelines.  Is this an official statement about a terrorist attack?  I thank Radoslaw Sikorski for the information about who is behind this terrorist attack targeting civilian infrastructure.” 

So much emission came from the Nord Stream pipeline that it has been called “a crime against humanity.”  

Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have repeatedly told the world how climate change is the most existential threat facing the world. 

Rep. Mike Waltz, R-Fla. stated, “she [Kamala] is constantly kind of thumping her chest that she’s the ‘last one in the room’ and that she’s right there at the table as he’s [Biden] making the big decisions.” 

If Joe and Kamala did know about the sabotage and did not prevent it, it would suggest that they are at least accessories to the largest emission of methane into the atmosphere in the world’s history.  Does this make them the most existential threat facing the world?
